FIESTA BOWL SELECTS COURT MEMBERS FOR THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON

Scottsdale, Ariz. The Fiesta Bowl Queen Court selection committee announced today the four-member court that will serve as Fiesta Bowl ambassadors for the 2006-2007 national championship season.Each fall, hundreds of young women from across the state of Arizona vie for the opportunity to serve as members of the Fiesta Bowl Queen Court. A scholarship opportunity of a lifetime, the Queen Court act as official spokespersons for the FiestaBowl s Festival of College Football representing the board of directors, committee members, volunteers, staff andsponsors. Court members will attend events including the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, the Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade presented by Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Fiesta Bowl National Band Championship, the Wachovia Securities Fiesta Bowl Ball presented by Ellie and Michael Ziegler and various other Fiesta Bowl festivities.Thisyear s Court members were selected base upon their

In November 2004, FOX Sports and the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) announced an exclusive four-year agreement covering all media distribution and sponsorship rights for the Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl and Allstate Sugar Bowl from 2007 through 2010, and a new, stand-alone, BCS National Championship Game from 2007 through 2009.FOX Sports kicks-off its BCS coverage next January with the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl (Jan. 1, 2007), Allstate Sugar Bowl (Jan. 2, 2007), Orange Bowl (Jan. 3, 2007), and the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game (Jan. 8, 2007) from Glendale, Arizona. Veteran FOX Sports play-by-play voice Thom Brennaman calls one of the three bowl games, as well as the new stand-alone BCS National Championship Game. Brennaman's analyst partner(s), and the remainder of FOX Sports' BCS broadcast team, will be announced at a later date.
